Met the owner Mr. Caraway in the morning, super guy. He mentioned the lake being built in 1965 and it had that feel. My 15 year old and I were on the water by 7:00 and he caught 3 that went 3 lbs. plus. All other were super small or perch. We had the best luck using topwater due to a lot of vegetation being near the surface. There were some deep open areas in the middle but all action was near the banks. We threw topwater, jigs, flukes and worms. Water was really clear and held a ton of baitfish. Great morning overall and we'll try this one again.
