Fingerling
I went out the afternoon of 7/12. I’m new to pond fishing, never fished Blackjack and my car said it was 100 degrees when I got there. Needless to say my expectations were extremely low.
Bottom line is that it was a blast. I showed up at 5pm and it was hot. Started throwing burnt orange senkos at the dam and within 5 minutes I had a nice one. I caught another 10 within 90 minutes the majority of which were over 3 with the largest being 4. I ran out of burnt orange so switched over to watermelon with chartreuse tail. They liked that better than the burnt orange. Ran out of those and the only thing I had left was a random 8” wal mart brand black worm with a pink tail. They hammered those. Lost what felt like a monster as he wrapped me around a log. ;(
Bite died at 7pm. Switched over to a frog and hit the grass between the dam and the pier and got another 3 or 4 (missed more than I landed) over the next hour. Finished with a topwater jointed minnow along the dam and got a couple more nice ones before dark.

Andrew. The area by the dam with a senko has always been productive for me. Good to see you did well. Did you try the brush piles?
