Two of us fished here July 5, but the high winds and hot temps made it tough.  We mainly bank-fished, but we had a tough time fishing soft plastics even with that.  We caught several 2+ bass very early on buzz, then it was a slow go with swim baits.  Biggest bass was 3-13 on a fluke. Not many dinks.

Jeffrey. Welcome to the club. I have found the grass edges and along the dam very productive with a senko. What other properties have you fished?

Bill,

I'm going out tomorrow afternoon. Any recommendations for a newbie on Black Jack?

Thanks for the tip Bill!  We have fished Rock Chimney, Galant Elm, Waco Creek and the one in Tarpley.

Andrew

I would start with a weightless senko at the pier and move along the grassline towards the dam.  The dam is also good with the senko.

Then maybe try the brush piles marked with PVC pipe.  About 15-20 feet from the dam is a nice drop-off to 20ft and I have had luck with a crank bait

Good luck
