Fingerling
Scott Balch and I fished on Sunday, July 3rd. I caught our first bass about 2 minutes after getting on the water. She was along the dam and hit my frog. We both did well on the topwater baits until around 10 AM. I fished the dam first and caught 3 (missed two), then fished the cove on the east side. We both fish the timber on the point between the two arms of the lake and did well there. We threw the green/yellow frog and a popper. We then switched to plastics and Scott continued to do well throwing a shad colored fluke. I caught one more on a 6” zoom lizard, but they obviously preferred the fluke.
We culled 5 fish and caught between 20 and 25 over 14 inches.
It was a good morning.
