I fished alone from 6 until 11 am, when the heat and wind made things too tough.  I boated about 12, from dink to about 4 lbs, solid fighting Triple J bass, and missed 8-10 more.  Most were caught on a popper in the spaces between the weed mats on the shallow end.  I got as many swirls as solid bites, and couldn't keep the small bluegill of the thing.  Caught some good fish on weightless trick worms on the east side around the stumps.  One nice crankbait fish that just hammered it.  In hindsight, a hard plastic jerkbait might have worked.

The best part is that I'm back from rotator cuff surgery!  Next up, swinging the golf club again…
