I was on the water by 1:30ish. I wasn't expecting to catch a ton in the middle of the day but I had a new rod I was dying to use so I went anyway. To my surprise the first bass I caught was 4lbs, 2ozs that swallowed my weightless rat tail right in the middle of the afternoon. Not a bad start! I caught 8 more throughout the day. The smallest weighing about 2lbs and the biggest weighing 4lbs., 13 ozs. Not a ton of numbers but good size so I can't complain. The size of the fish have really increased the past year or so.

The water is browner than normal. Usually this lake is green and pretty darn clear. Weeds limit what and where you can throw but that's to be expected this time of year.

Nice job Jason!

I hear you on the water clarity.  I fished it a couple of weeks ago and it was tannic plus had lots of suspended matter.  Stained and muddy.
