Fished Blackjack Ranch on May 10th with PWF member Bryan Buchan. We started around 8 and left about 5 with a break for lunch.

Air temps: 73-85

Water temps: 73-75

Winds : 10-15 MPH

Water: stained and full

Top water bite was on, but we missed more than we caught. I caught 7, culled 1.  Bryan caught about 9, culled 3.

We both had success fishing the inside grass line along the dam and the bank across from the pier. My main lures were a ribbit frog, senko with a spinner, both weightless, but I caught a 5# on the outside grass line along the dam on a medium diving crank bait (green, black, red).

The brush piles are very easy to find since they are marked with PVC pipe, but we did not have any hits on any of them.

Bryan mainly used a frog and a worm (both weightless).  The bite died after lunch.
