We arrived at about 8:30 on 5/10 and we fished to about 6pm.The lake is as full as I have ever seen it. Water clarity was at best, two feet. We caught about 25 "Strong Bass". Our best 5 fish would probably come in at about 21 pounds. A green frog fished over moss beds or near shallow timber would be the preferred bait on this trip. Bring braid as these fish will attempt to break you off at every opportunity and all were fairly shallow and caught near the flooded shorelines. This remains my favorite club lake as I always seem to bag a fair number of 3 to 5 pound Bass here. It is priced better than many of the other lakes, 2 hours from home, and I prefer to fish timber anyway. We were fortunate to get home before he storms cut loose in Dallas.
Off to our annual San Saba trip soon if the weather holds for the 5/20 weekend. I hope to see some SS reports before we go.

My dad fished san saba around 5/7. Said pretty slow for saba but did catch 2-3 over 4 (one 6.8). But said total numbers were only around 20 with 2 guys fishing sunup to sundown.
