Fished the afternoon shift at Kickapoo for the first time on 4/7 and it was productive. Tossed a watermelon red Senko along the weeds on the N W bank and they ate it up. Made a pass down the dam with a 3/8 oz white spinnerbait and they ate it up. Came back up the dam with a small size sq billed crankbait and YES they ate it up. I think I could have tossed a paperclip at them and they would have chased it. Caught fish everywhere in the lake. Wind was out of the west, high blue sky and a nice warm day. No big fish to brag about just good line pulling fun was the order ot the day. I harvested 11 under the 14" slot and quit counting when I got past 20 on 14" - 17" fish. I have no idea where the Mama fish live at Kickapoo.

Nice report, Paul.
I’ve fished there a few times and always catch a bunch. I did hook and land one nice fish, a little over 3 pounds, on a Senko in the shallow southwest area near some clumps of brush and trees.
