I fished a half day (morning) JerMar yesterday with Joel Conner.  It was my first trip to JerMar so I followed Joel’s advice on what to throw.  his advice was spot on.

The weather was great!  It started out in the lower 50’s and was in the 70’s by noon.  Wind was light to start and got to maybe 8-10 mph by the time we left.

I caught 8 over 14 inches and lost 4 before they got in the kayak. The largest was about 3-1/2 lbs.

I started out with a Live Target Hollow Body Frog (Emerald/Brown).  I caught 4 with the frog.  All my misses came on the frog as well.  Three misses were on premature hook sets and one was because of a half-hearted hook set.

I caught two on a Zoom 6” lizard (Plum) after the frog bite let up. The last two were on a Z-Man White/Chartreuse chatterbait.

All in all it was a great day fishing with a fellow member that was very helpful with good advice.
