It was so windy (22-30 from the NW) that the water was covered with whitecaps when we arrived.  We decided to skip using the boat and just fish the banks for safety.  Most of the action came in 3 distinct periods with long lulls between them.  the wind eventually died to 10-15mph.Two of us ended up with 26 bass between us with only one harvested and five over 4.5 lbs.  The highlight of the day was my new personal best; 25 ⅞ inches and just under 11 lbs.  All bass were caught on spinnerbaits, chatter baits, or buzz baits.  We couldn’t get a bite on plastics.

The lake is full with outflow over the spillway.  Several types of grass are growing in the shallows, particularly the south side.
