John Bedore and I fished at Blackjack Ranch for four hours on Saturday afternoon.  We caught 45 very healthy fish with an average weight near 3 pounds (only 4 fish  14 inches or less) .   The air  temperature was 73 degrees and the water temperature was similar.  Winds were 10-12 MPH.  We caught plenty of fish in the 4 and 5 pound class and we lost a giant bass after 30 seconds of fight,  the fish finally came about half way out of the water and spit the lure.  After a week of heavy rains we decided to leave the truck parked on the rock road and drag the bass raider to the water  from our spot on the dam.  I think this is the best way to launch here when it is wet.
