As noted elsewhere, the water level has been brought way down in order to allow construction/reconstruction of the spillway. It appears to be complete now, so perhaps they will start to bring the water level back up.

But the low water level did not seem to bother the fish too much, this afternoon John and Jim and I caught and released a combined 35 largemouth bass. Largest ones were 19 inch (approx 4 lb), most were smaller, possibly on average 2 pounds. Favorite baits were chartreuse chatter bait, stick worms rigged Texas as well as on shaky heads.
