Fished West Lake before the rains we've got going now.  Pretty windy and had a time with boat control.  Should have brought an anchor. Didn't fish plastics but tried frog.  Really only caught fish on a spinnerbait that the fish started hitting late in the day and a lipless crankbait.  All fish in 2-6ft of water either by the damn & pier end or all the way up in the upper end throwing SB in the timber.  Was surprised not to catch a single big fish considering the conditions.  I ended up boating 12 but the biggest was 2 1/2 pounds along with one crappie.  Two tips-before leaving make sure you know as best you can how to get to this property.  It is tricky to find.  When you get to the 1st lake there is a gate to get to West Lake and it is easy to get open.  When the lakes come up these lake should do well.  East lake is way down as mentioned but there is much growth around the shore and it even looks like the owner has bulldozed some log jams into the water.  I fished it from the bank for about 45 minutes but didn't catch anything.
