Hit up Pecan Springs this Wednesday morning.  Some fish busting on the surface but no luck with topwater.  Switched to texas rigged worms and salamanders and got a bunch of nips but go good hookups.  Switched to a smaller hook and plastic set up and started landing tiny 6 inch bass.  I probably caught at least 25 of these.  I switched back to a larger rig in the hopes of attracting something larger but only got a couple of bits and landed on fish just over 1lb on the boga grip.  Overall, this is a very pretty property but I doubt I will return.

That lake has a lot of nice channel cats if you like to eat catfish. Ran into a similar situation far as bass goes at black hat couple weeks ago. Found some surfacing fish and caught bunch of little tiny fish like you described. Tried fishing under them thinking bigger ones underneath them but no luck. I’d be careful before I wrote waxahachie property off because I know black hat has some good fish in it. At black hat me and my stepbrother started catching some nicer fish in the brushpiles last hour there I know waxahachie has some brushpiles
