Fished JerMar Lake this morning. We arrived at first light hoping for some top water action. Saw a wonderful "red"sky in the morning but ignored the warning and got on the lake. Our first fish had a big head, long body and no real weight…..not good. Did catch a couple on a pop-r and an old lucky 13, but nothing on frogs or buzz-baits and must say things were slow. Then Rat-a-tat-tat, four really good fish on cranks. Bang, some plastic action, then another real nice one on a 10" worm. Good news… that first fish was the exception as all  these were strong, healthy fighters. A real pleasure to hook into. We added a few more on deep divers and called it a day. Now when 15 or so really good fish with only two harvested is only a "nice" day….. you must be on a Private Water Lake.
