Fingerling
My son and I fished JerMar starting at about 6:30 until about 10:30. Water quality was normal, temp was 82 degrees and very full. Weeds are about the same as I remember mid summer. Banks are pretty thick, but plenty of fishable water through the lake. 1st time I could get my boat all the down closest to the cabin. Fishing was a little slow, but I was teaching my son texas rigged lizards on baitcaster - Only 1 backlash. He caught three fish over the keeper size. He also hooked a large bass and my seven ft rod snapped in half. Never seen a rod do that. He was horsing it out of the weeds, but it should not have broke. I tried to bring it in hand reeling it but it was too big and eventually spit the hook. We never did see it, but it felt large. I caught two over the limit - I spent most of the time watching him and driving the boat. Great morning with clouds and slight wind. I thought we would do better, but it was fun. Great lake as always. Can't figure out why the site is uploading pic on its side.
