Got out early @ 6:30, No topwater action at all. No interest at all for frogs of any type. Finally went to lizards (two types)

I can lift most 3-lbers into the boat w/ the rod. Fact is, I had to use my landing net 9 times today to get my fish into the boat . Not a lot of bites today, but were all well worth the wait. My smallest, fish was a 4lber.(not counting

one dink). Largest was New Personal Best, A 10.4 LBER! . This bite came on a mis-cast witch was cast into open water,

so I started reeling it in quickly when it hit a brick wall. Fought like the big fish it was, then almost broke my landing net

as I tried to lift her into the boat ! When I measured her she was a fin short of 24". Sorry the Pic.s aren't very good,

but she wouldn't stop moving ! And yes, the seat was wet ! After releasing her none the worse for wear, I couldn't

focus on fishing for anything , so I called it a day @ 11:30. I mean, how do you top a NPB ? Not to mention the other

8 I caught from 4lbs. to 7lbs.. I'll take a "slow day" like this any given morning!

Fantastic day Joel and a new PB!

Congratulations to you.  Nothing quite like the sight of a DD bass.

Awesome Joel. You’re making me a believer in the lizard in the hot weather not just spring. Fishing black hat for first time Sunday definitely gonna give it a try

Congrats on your NPB Joel and thanks for posting. My dad and I will be on JerMar tomorrow morning so hopefully the big bite is still on. What color lizards were you using?

purple is always the hottest but make sure to use 8" or larger.
