I fished Pecan Springs this morning and had some success with black plastic worms and a chartreuse Rattletrap. Caught 22 bass from 6" to just a tad over 2 pounds. Nothing big hit as far as I know. The biggest fish missed a Ribbit frog in the flooded timber, and hit a follow-up Senko. No luck on chatterbait, single-spin, or crankbait. None of the PVC brushpile markers are visible with the high water. I did find one south of the end of the floating dock. but no fish. I ended up fishing mostly shallow in the flooded brush. Water temp was 86+, and visibility was better today - I could see a chartreuse lure about 4.5 feet down. As an added benefit, I did enjoy seeing one whitetail on the west end of the dam, and was thrilled when 4 wild turkey flew over my boat as they left their roost to land on the dam. This was my first visit to this beautiful property, and I'll be back.
