Fished here a week ago and had to come back. The ranch had a big rain during the week and changed things…half the weed beds were gone. The lake was the best I have ever seen it, but the rains and wind slowed the action a bit. Two of us still caught 20 and had another 20 missed strikes. Several in the 4lb range….all on top water using mostly Ribbitt Frogs of any color. The action was best on the north/shallow end where the water was a little calmer. The boat at the lake has a small leak and with the wind, it made it difficult fishing from it. I have a two man boat that gets all over the lake with ease. Blackjack is a destination sure not to disappoint.
