Fished last Wednesday pm and Thursday am, first time to this beautiful property. Been on the road and just now having a chance to post. Great conditions as it was temps in the 80s, overcast and threatening to rain the whole time but it didn't start up until as I was packing my gear Thursday when I was leaving. Property was wet and the road that led to the pier where it was suggested to park was messy looking, so I went and drove to the dam to park since that road was fine. The distal half of the pier was also under a little bit of water but easily fishable. The john boat was also at the corner of the dam and looked like it had drifted there. Pulled it up but there was no paddle, no rope, and I didn't have my trolling motor so I left it there and bank fished.

Great, consistent top water action all Wednesday from the time I got to the lake at about 4:30 until dark. Like Bill mentioned before, lots of aggressive hits and landed about a third of those. Most of what I landed were in the 2-3 pound range, a few were pushing 4. Pattern along the dam and on the bank opposite the pier was to throw frogs beyond the grass lines, then work the frog back across the grass. Then throw Pop'Rs and buzz baits in the 10 foot wide strip of open water between the grass line and the shore. Didn't get to the side of the lake that had the pier until Thursday.

Thursday I tried the same pattern on the pier side of the lake and nothing for two hours. Threw chrome rattle traps and Texas rigged watermelon Senkos off the pier to deeper water and nothing. Came back to the dam and opposite shore and the top water bite was still strong and held until about 9:30 when I had to take off. All total in two half days probably had upwards of 30 hits and landed about 10.

Just an absolutely beautiful property and I'll definitely be back.
