Fished Smith Lake the morning of 6/21/15.Fairfield had 1/4 " of rain the day before and 2 1/2 " in the last seven days.The lake was clear and the access was good,no problem driving down to and back from the lake at all.The grass on the slope is maybe 8 " tall and this makes seeing the many fire ant beds difficult.

Caught 18 bass,3 crappie and 8 bream.The bass hit flukes and plastic worms of all sizes and colors.There is less grass along the shore line than there was two years ago but still enough to provide cover.The lake is as high as I have ever seen it.
