My wife and I fished Kickapoo Friday 6/12. Got on the lake around 7 and fished until noon. Bites were slow and didn’t turn on until around 10. We harvested 16, returned 4, and missed 8 that we just couldn’t boat. Water was clear/stained. About half were caught in 5+ feet on chartreuse/white spinner baits and half were caught on plastics near the banks in the weeds. Reaction Innovation skinny dippers in Houdini color were the star plastic performers. The right leg of the lake seemed to be where the spinners worked best and the left leg was better with the plastics. Conditions driving down to the pond as well as around the pond were dry/solid. Look forward to going back sometime.
