Fished this location Thursday morning from 7-11. Could not get a strike until around 10. Tried various top water, jigs, shallow, middle , and deep cranks, wacky senko, and spinners with no luck (ran the entire property multiple times). With my kayak I was able to skim over the weed bed and had multiple strikes on a weightless paddle tail running the inside edge from the dam to the pier. Most hits were aggressive, but I could not land any. I did have one hooked, but the line broke. Switched to braid and no more strikes.
