This is a beautiful property, especially now that it is full. I was a victim of the lake being full in that when I arrived at 6:30 none of the two boats mentioned on the website were anywhere to be found. I searched for about 20 minutes, thought about calling the PWF office to see if they knew where they were, but no cell service on the backside of the moon. The only part of the lake fishable from the bank, at least when it is full, is the dam and a small area on the west end of the dam. Not the best place to fish first thing in the morning in June, but tied on a baby brush hog and walked the dam. Picked up 2 nice healthy fish in about an hour all the time thinking if I had a boat I would really tear them up.
Then I spotted it, one of the boats on the east side of the lake just up from the dam. I drove over to it and after encountering every spider web in Jack county, briars, bushes and rocks got it turned over and loaded up. Finally started fishing from the boat about 9:45. Lots of flooded timber and bushes to throw at, threw soft plastics and hard and proceeded not to get a single bite or strike for the next 2.5 hours. I even fished the dam again from the boat and not one bump.
I guess I should have just walked the dam all morning. Regardless it is a beautiful place, enjoyed listening to a turkey for about an hour this morning. I would definitely go back and give it another try.

Sandy,
So sorry about the boat situation.I'm sure the boats that were near the water when the rains came, floated to that resting place. My apologies for not having the boats near the boat launch/parking area. Moreover, very sorry the fishing was slow. It is still one of the prettiest lakes/properties in the entire club. I love back side of the moon and usually had solid days at the lake. The lake is probably 3 times as big as it was 1 month ago, so the fish will be scattered for a few weeks.
