It’s been some time since I fished this lake due to water conditions and my working too much, but I mananged to get out Saturday and fish for a few hours. I expected the water to still be a little muddy from the rain, but it was pretty clear. I caught about 15-20 bass and some very large bluegill. Most of the fish were caught on a silver tiny lucky thirteen top water against the bank with a few on spinnerbaits. All fish were very healthy and were pretty consistently 14-15 inches. Nice trip.

First time the lake has been full in 5 years. It will be create something called "new lake effect". In short what it means is that all the grass, brush and land vegetation that grew around the short line is now under water. All this "stuff" is now under water. This creates fertility in the water column and habitat for the bait fish. I think we will see a big spawn of bluegill all summer; bringing lots of food to our bass.
