Fished Deer Trail Ranch for the first time today. I'm use to fishing Timber Lake so it was odd finally stopping at the "first" gate. Set sail at 9:30am and immediately landed fish on a white spinnerbait with chartreuse trailer and copper blade. Proceeded to catch fish on the spinner for the first 3 hours then the bite slowed a little. Switched to a crawfish RatLTrap which produced fish for the next 2 hours. Sporadically threw a pumpkin chartreuse senko which produced a few fish. Landed 43 bass in total in just over 5 hours with the biggest being just under 20 inches. Fun little lake - will definitely be back.

This was my first trip in over a year and I had a smile on my face the entire time.  Even though I'm unable to fish often due to a ridiculously unpredictable work and travel schedule, I'm so thankful to have access to these wonderful properties. I may be the least fished in the club but I can promise you I appreciate it as much as anyone. Thank you Steve and team for providing access to such amazing properties.

Tight lines.

Sean,

Glad you have been a member for so many years. Mrreover, really glad you are using your membership.

Like anything in life, we all place a value on what is most important versus it's cost. We have some members who fish once or twice a year and feel they are getting a good value. We have some, who will tell us they only fished 10 times last year and want to drop their membership. About 4 years ago we were reviewing our membership roles and noticed a member who had not fished in 6 years and continued to pay his dues (Almost impossible today as surely his card would be comprised by some security breach). I thought a phone call would be appropriate, I wanted to make sure he wanted to continue his membership and not just renewing because he never noticed the charge. His response was priceless. It was something along the lines of… I know I never go, But, I I might want to…plus I like logging on to the web-site and reading about the others who do go. Keep me as a member.

I learned a valuable lesson that day; our members are members for lots of different reasons.
