Fingerling
When I stepped out of the truck I knew it would be a tough day. Algae was thick and suspended in the water. The water was green. My lure disappeared from sight 4" down into the water. Fish were suspended at 7-8 feet, but they wouldn't tough anything. The wind was 20 mph, but the water temps were 57-59 degrees! Things have warmed up fast to our south.
Fishing fresh algae has never been a story for success for me, but with 70 degrees of sunshine on my face and the sound of water lapping on the side of the boat, even a skunking felt good on a day like this. And it's only mid-February!
