Fish all day and landed 20 bass, half of which were under 14".The rest were very nice size fish.About 60% of the fish were shallow in either grass or timber/laydowns.The rest were 10 to 20 yards out.The fish hit flukes, worms and flies.Nothing on a lizard.

Both lakes were full and in great shape with clear water. The grass has not grown much.

Not a single crappie and only six small bream.

Fished both lakes and caught 10 in each lake.

I did see the otter someone had mentioned last year.

I am thinking of atking a guest soon, proabbly on East LAke.  I usually use my Pelican but would need one of the boats there.  I ahve nevere really paid attention to them on other trips.  Can anyone tell me size and such.  My guest is pretty good size fellow at 6'7".

Hi Rodney,

The boat is a 12 foot V bottom on the east lake and either a 10 or 12 foot flat bottom on the west lake. At 6' 7" I think he might be uncomfortable in a jon boat. You might want to bring a bigger boat, let him use your Pelican and you use the jon boat or take him to a lake like Laneville, Longbranch, Cleburne, Bryan, San Saba or Marshall where bigger boats are furnished.
