"I had so much fun…I want to go everytime you go from now on."  Hmmm, I have mixed emotions about hearing that from my fiance' (Paulina) after taking her on her 1st Bass fishing trip ever.  Paulina had never fished before.  So, I set her up with spinning reel and lure and taught her how to cast and retrieve.  Then I suggested she toss a few practice casts from the bank as I readied the boat and rigged the other roads.  A few practice casts in, she hollered "I got one!!"  When I turned around and saw a big boil, I told her to keep the rod up and reel it onto the shore, which she did perfectly.  I put it on the scales…5 pounds 9 ounces.  She asked me, "honey, is that a big one?"

We camped Saturday night.  Great setting.  Paulina loved the cows, which she described as "friendly."  They must have smelled the steaks we cooked out, because they kept their distance Sunday…one even held up a sign that read "Eat more Chiken"  Met the owner James on the way out.  He was very nice and seem very pleased that we had a good time.

Yes, Mike, you're in trouble!  Reeling in a 5-9 with the head of a 7 pounder on it on spinning tackle would ruin any of us.

That grin Paulina has says it all.

Great job Mike.
