I saw a total of 4 ducks on opening day in Decatur.  3 were about 1/2 mile to the West, flying to the North.  1 Green Winged Teal hen came in to the lake, so I took her.  Stayed until 10am.  At least it was a cheap opening day.  Water is up a little from the end of last season.  Need some freezing temps up North to push the quackers down.  Talking to friends on other leases and looking at forums, most had similar experiences.  Some took limits, but most only saw a couple flying and lots of shut-outs.  It was a beautiful sunrise though, and lots of different birds chirping made for a great chorus of nature as the day started.

Matt,

We heard similar results from our members and friends who hunted our leases and others who hunted leases outside of PWF. Thanks for being the first to post this year!

John Lloyd said he shot 3 teal at Fairfield Smith Ranch on Saturday.

At least you got out there. I was stuck on a soccer field all day Saturday and Sunday.
