Enjoyed a trip to JerMar on Thurs. the 18th with my wife. She caught 3 chunky bass in the 2-3 lb. range and each one put up a rod-bending fight. She lost 2 or 3 others that were probably bigger. Learning to frog and worm fish is sometimes tedious, but she had a big smile at the end of the morning! We caught a total of 10 up to 5 lbs. Frogs and senkos were the ticket with cloud cover most of the morning. This was my first time at this lake, but likely won't be my last.

Next time Larry set her up with a half ounce white buzz bait. They hit it like a ton of bricks. Put a stinger hook on it for her to get those short strikes. Have her cast it out towards that bit stump that's its in the middle of the lake. I'm sure a black one would work equally as well. I use the buzz bait with the crackers on them. Have fun. If you go in the afternoon between 3 and 5 pm the bite came alive.
