Fingerling
Fished Friday pm and Saturday am with my son. Last fling before school starts on Monday. Wind was from the southeast on Friday, so we fished along the east side, out of wind. Hooked six. Two on senkos, one on a jitterbug, and three on frogs. Son was fishing the frog and had a nice one break off just before getting to the boat. Should have taken more advice last week on changing line and retying! Met Mr. and Mrs. King. Very nice folks. They informed us that we were the first to stay in their new lodging. Nice two bedroom metal building. Thanks for the addition. Saturday am, the wind was straight from the south and blowing at daylight. It blew us all over the lake. We fished about 2 1/2 hours, throwing all we had, and were skunked. Lake is full and the Kings have done a great job of cleaning up the tall grass around the dock and boat area and putting down rock. Still love this lake and will be back when the wind cooperates.

Thanks Bob for kind words. Sorry you and Spencer got shut out on Saturday. I saw you when you left and didn't recognize you til you were past me or would have stopped jogging to hear your report. Yeah, wind was tough Saturday and difficult on big lake. Nice to have met you Friday night and welcome any suggestions for the lodging. If we can ever get boat access to upper small lake some nice fish there and more protected from the wind. My goal is to get some sort of pier and boat on that pond. Other ponds have filled somewhat but not sure if comarands got most of the fish. Jerry King
