My grandson and I arrived at Six-O around 7:30 Wed. am and began throwing top water, but the fish would hit and then spit it back, don't think I ever lost so many fish on top water baits. The lake has come up a good five feet since my last visit and the lake is in in good shape with plenty of grass to work around. We finally started to boat some fish and ended up with 14 keepers and threw back another 10 or 15 that were over the keeper size. Did mamage to boat a nice seven pounder. Caught it about 50 yards from were I caught the 10lb fish a few years ago. Grandson enjoyed playing with the coppernose under the dock. But we also got to enjoy a bull fight at the mouth of on of the sloughs on the north end. Two young bulls went at it for about 20 minutes in the shallows, it was a site to behold. My only concern is the fish we caught seemed a little on the skinny side.
