Fished Tarpley on 28 jun from 0730 - 1200 and caught 16. Culled 10, 3 did a quick release at the boat, and released 3. The 3 released were about 16”.
Most we’re caught on medium and deep running crank baits.
Nothing on top water just a couple of short hits.
Water level is good.
Nothing hit on plastics like last time.

Trent. I have not been there since the early spring and it was VERY low. I hope to fish Tarpley in a couple of weeks and plan a quick detour to Medina. I will take photos and post a report.
Have u ever fished Tarpley?

Sounds good. Yes my father and I went out a couple of years ago. We caught a few small ones but we caught a lot more at medina which were all about the same size=small. We mainly used it for warm up for san saba!

Bill, Good to hear Hill Country Ranch has done well after the early june rain! How’s the lake in medina doing? I always planned on taking my young son there when he’s old enough because the action was always great despite the size, but sounds like level was really low this spring. Have you been back out there lately?
