Fished from 6:30 to about 2:00.  Caught and released 7 from 16” to 22”.  Most were early on Ribbit frogs.  Lost as many or more when buried up in the deep grass.  Just not able to get boat in closer enough to grab fish.  Harvested two bass but both around 13”.  Grass carp are present and look like submarines floating around and have plenty to eat.

I fished there couple weeks ago and noticed that fish getting bigger. Tilapia may have something to do with that noticed lots of small bait fish that looked like bluegill but coloration was different suspect were tilapia. Me and my guest caught more small fish than you did but were fishing flukes may have been reason. Cool that you caught fish up to 22 inches. May have to do frog thing when I go back down there. We caught more nice fish than usual biggest about 17 inches. My wife caught a nice fish there in spring 4lb 8oz agree fish getting bigger. May get really good down there if keeps up

Fished here in May and tore them up on any type of plastic crawfish.  Try those next time.

Saw the same on baitfish with some action happening on surface schooling but never close enough to try to cast to.

Ive caught them on zoom speed craws well there before usually watermelon color. Couldn’t get a bite on them also wouldn’t hit watermelon fluke either didn’t seem to want anything but white caught few on chartreuse color. Did real well in early spring out there fishing zoom craws on a dropshot rig and also baby brushhog fished same way
