I was passing near LaGrange on Sunday afternoon and booked the trip late.  I was able to fish for only about an hour, mainly just wanted to check out the status of the lake.

The lake was overflowing!  I didn’t bring a boat and had planned on bank fishing, but this was difficult with how high the water was.  The lake looked fabulous.  Fish were active.

I fished in the heat of the day from 1:30-2:30.
Caught 3 large bass on top water lures.
