Fished this property on June 13 from 6:30 - 11 AM.

Biggest fish I had caught here was about 5#. I beat that record twice today. A 7-14 (wacky senko -  motor oil) and a 6.5 ( deep crank - olive).

Caught about 11, culled 9.

The water level is getting much better due to the recent rain.  Probably 3-4 ft low.

Water had good color and was about 78 degrees. The morning was overcast then partly sunny by 10.

I caught several on top water (torpedo baits), rattle trap, and shallow and mid diving cranks.

The boat does have a small leak in the stern.

WOWWW! that is great. For those who do not know Bill (William) he is our most active San Antonio member and one to the 10 most active members in the club. This guy fishes a lot. He has fished Tarpley Hill Country Ranch at least 40 times in the past 5 years and not many fish even close to this size class fish. As you know lakes in the Austin and San Antonio areas have seen very little rain. The 2 lakes we have leased in San Antonio have been on a steady free fall in water size over the past 4 years. Both were down to 20% of their normal size. When lakes shrink, fish instincts take over and the reproduction numbers go down and stress levels go up. Lake Falcon was perhaps the best bass lake in 2012 to a shell of itself today. The lake was 1.5 feet low in Feb of 2011 and is now 36 feet low or 27% of capacity. While many will argue why the fishing has declined, IMO, that the drastic fall of the water has really hurt the fishing. The fish are stressed. The same thing has happened at our leases in Tarpley and Medina. I believe it is no coincidence that Bill caught these fish on a lake that has doubled in size in the last 30 days.
