Was excited this morning going fishing at Six-O only 30 miles from my house. Got there at sun up and wind was howling. Started off heading towards the dam, but the wind decided that I needed to go in the other direction. Caught a good one about 75 yards from the dock, but he spit it out at the boat. Fished the next 3 hours without a bite. Saw some fish schooling and caught one 12” on on a crank bait. I threw everything in my tackle box with no luck. I know other folks catch fish there, but I’m kinda skittish about going back. First time going to a club lake that I came home
felling kinda bummed.

Six_O has not been kind to me as well. Seems like the wind was an issue both trips to this lake with little to no success…. Nice property and nice size of lake. but….

I am sure you will find properties and lakes that suite you. There are many to pick from in the club…
I prefer Sulphur Bluff Timber Lake, San Saba, Yates,Lancaster to name a few…

Tight lines to you

Fished Six-o about Month ago and went to drop shot throw up against bank with Hook about 2ft above sinker with small 4-5inc. ring worm that floated.  blue brown color worked down the bank to about 4ft deep.  held still with little shake, caught 15 in 30minutes   on yea it was on 6lb floracarbon line

I fished there once about two years ago at fish fry. Remember lake being very clear and fishing was tough that day. I’ve started experimenting with the drop shot in real clear water at some of the club lakes with very clear water. First time using it this year but been using 8lb invisx flouracarbon line with it and casting it and dragging it. Kinda thought drop shot would be effective at six o but haven’t been back out there. Very effective technique I’m still learning with it but key seems to be staying in contact with bottom and fish slow as you can stand it

I have been fishing six- O since it first joined the club. My biggest was a 10lb caught about 4 years ago.  The lake is a low as I have ever seen it, 8 to 10 feet down. I visited with the owner on my last trip a couple weeks ago. He seems to think the high winds and evaporoation are the cause of the low water as well as the lack of rain. He arrived there as I just finished cleaning the 6 bass I culled, so I gave him the fish for dinner.  My last few trips have not produced many of any size, the largest was a 5lb caught on a bettle spin near the old tank dam. But I did have some fun with a clear tiny torpedo on the north end in the middle of the day. The two trips before that Dale and I caught around thirty each time and culled around 20 each trip. I live on the weat side of Fort Worth and this is one of the closer sites, so I hit more than the others.

Thanks for all your input.. Never thought of the drop shot idea. I may try it again once these winds settle down a little. Maybe I need one of you guys to go with me next time to educate me on how to fish one of these “weedy” lakes!
