Got to the water about 9am.  Immediately saw a couple of Bass cruising on the south side of the dock. Managed to hook up both of them on watermelon super flukes. Landed the 17 incher but the second monster got away from a poor hook set on my part. Loaded up the pontoon and headed north. The wind was blowing hard from the North west.  Fished the east bank and the dam picking up fish on flukes, top water and wacky worms.  Then we moved up to the old tank. We fished the outside of the old dam and struck out.  Moved to the inside thru some deep water on the north end of the dam. We hit pay dirt as we caught a four and three pounder while tying to trees. Left the old tank and fished immediately to the north of it. Another four pounder and a bunch of 2 and 3’s.  Total for the day was 30 fish and only harvested 2 fish around 12 inches. Everything else was at least 15 and most in the 16 to 17 range. Observations. Beside the lake being low.  No coppernose at the dock.  No bed sites and no gills in shallow water.  Only saw one school of fry in the north end.  Tip for the trip.  When you arrive go Stealth.  Rig up a fluke and slowly move to the dock. There were two monsters laying under the dock.  Fish are thin but look healthy. The question is where are the blue gills?
