I fished on 4/18 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:15. 78 degrees and little wind. Started with my old reliables: crank baits, spinner baits, flukes and craws. Not one hit in the first three hours. I then switched to a green Spro frog and worked the entire west shore from north to south. I have never experienced anything like this. My The lake literally came alive. I caught a total of 8 fish with none below 18 inches and missed another 8. It was explosion after explosion but the frog had to start either on shore or in the middle of the vegetation. The biggest was a hair under 23 inches and all the fish put up incredible fights. The lake was up about 2 feet from the last time I fished it 3 weeks ago but still has a ways to go.

Need to make a correction from yesterday’s post. It was not a Spro Frog I was using. It was a Lunkerhunt Lunker Frog. Looks just like a frog and very effective.
