Too many 3 and 5 pounders to count.
Went camping, fishing and even had time to attend the Moto GP race in Austin with my brother and his son. His daughter came along for the solitude and to catch up on a few books.  We fished on Saturday April 12th and Sunday April 13th from just before light until noon. Both days we fished from the bank. We had partly cloudy skies on Saturday and the over cast sky on Sunday provided the extended top water bite until noon. Surface conditions were in the low 60s at first light and high 70s at noon

We fished all over the lake and caught most of the 3 to 5 pound bass at the dam. The wind was really not a factor because we mostly fished the windblown bank but the wind was really blowing from the south.

We caught most of the fish on top water lures with a stop and go retrieve. The lure of choice was the scum frog, Rage tail shad and pop-r. We did catch a couple on a live target jointed gold fish and dark color lizards fished very slow. Fish did not really want to chance and lures but all the bites were very aggressive as they inhaled our lures.
We lost a lot of fish during the acrobatic show the fish put on for us. Every fish went airborne at least 3 or 4 times. There was about 15 - 18 inches of visibility and grass was not an issue. Water level seemed to be low because the boat launch area was out of the water.

Honestly we lost count of how many fish we missed and caught. All we know is, that we caught and missed a lot of large fish

It was a very busy weekend but it was also very fun and rewarding weekend. I also, really hate I had to miss the Club fish fry but I could not get rid of my tickets for the Moto GP race.

I will definitely be back to fish this property
