Member John Bedore and I fished the Hat and Star Ranch.  Saturday April 12.  The temperature and water temperature were identical at the start of the morning 66 degrees.  We fished the lake hard for most of the day.  We managed 54 fish with the largest 3 being 4, 5, and 5 1/4 pounds.  All in all we harvested 46 fish and returned only 8.

We fished most every thing in our arsenal, but the best bites came on soft plastics rigged with a very lite Carolina rig.  The wind was really a factor as it was howling for most of the day. 

The ranch was beautiful and the wildflower were spectacular.  We did manage to see a bald eagle briefly.  All in all a great day of fishing.
