Got on the water around 7:45am - fished until noon with a guest.  Some action early morning on top-water buzz-baits and poppers.  Lots of bites by the PVC pipes (denotes location of brush) and by the two large tree stumps in the water.  Had a heck of a fight with one that breached and flashed the boat, so we could see how big he was, but came off the line (user error probably - lol).  Slow most of the day, but still enjoyable, considering the conditions (windy and cold) - caught 7 total: 6 LMBass and 1 crappie, pulled out 6 as per lake instruction - 5bass (under 14”) and 1 crappie.  Soft plastics seemed to work best: watermelon flaked flukes and green watermelon baby brush hogs.
