3 of us fished SS this weekend. We caught about 50 total. Almost all came on green 8 inch lizard, Texas rigged.Largest fish Cortney Coe caught was 22 1/4 in length. We did not weigh the fish as it was out of the water too long… I caught a 21 1/2 inch fish within 5 minutes of Coe’s fish. I weighed mine it was 5 - 0 exactly. Fish were mostly about 10 to 15 feet away from the banks with point areas being the most productive. The bank directly across from the launch area is always the best area for me.

The boat we used had new seats, new battery, and a new trollling motor was in one of the boats.

The drive to the lake was spectacular with the wild flowers blooming. The ranch looked great.  We did encounter a thunder storm and heavy rains with dropping temperatures Sunday morning at wake up. Temps got up to a whopping 48….

I suggest this lake soon if you can make the 4 hour trip from Dallas and you can arrange a long weekend. It’s worth the trip..

Cortney. Nice fish. I was hoping no one would take 3rd place from me, but I thought it would be a fish caught at San Saba.

Yes sir. SS boat, I learned to always bring my own motor, battery, and battery charger to be on the safe side on any trip. Boat, seats, his batteries were all good as far as we knew. 1 TM was brand new as well in one SS boat.
