We fished Smith Lake on 3/11 AM. Got there @ 7:30 and pulled in a fish on the first cast, alas that was the high light of the trip. The new boat looks really nice although we used our own boat. The lake is full of water and there must be fish in it, we’ve caught healthy, rod benders here before….but not this day. The few we managed were not the brutes of the past. Also the dreaded “green slime” was everywhere. I guess I’ll have to learn to fish with this stuff in the lake as it is becoming a common theme..
