Member John Kirby and I fished Hat and Star on 2/28. The forecast had called for high winds and a warming trend from mid morning lows in the 30’s to a high in the 60’s. We were covered with a low cloud deck all day and didn’t see the sun break through and temps rise until right at sunset. The fishing was SLOW to say the least.
We caught only 2 fish all day. Name it and I promise you we threw it in just about every color and size. Slow, fast, stop, go, fast fall, slow fall, some days they just don’t bite! BUT….all it takes is one! Out of our two fish we totaled 10 pounds!
I was lucky enough to drop one right on top of a 9lb 3oz monster! Awesome!
