Conditions were near perfect this morning with just one exception.  There was an otter on the lake and no matter where I went it followed me. Continuously diving although I never saw it with a fish.  I tried a range of baits but the most productive were watermelon flukes around the edges of the timber.  Caught a total of eight fish (all on flukes) and all were in the 18-21 inch range. Spoke with the owner who showed me what looked like a recently plowed field.  It was all done by wild hogs. The numbers apparently are way up.  He has placed traps around the property and one is on the right just as you pass through the gate.
