Fished Six O Ranch this morning (Sunday) with two guests (and potential members). As a new member, this was my first visit to a club property and I was greatly impressed with the lake and the quality of the fish.
The water is about 6-7 feet low, clear and the water temp ranged from 53-55 degrees during our trip. The lake was socked in by fog first thing in the morning, but it burned off within an hour or so. We saw some quick action early (one guest caught a small bass on his first cast), then things slowed. We saw larger bass cruising the ledges, not quite moving into the shallows yet.
We boated a total of about 9 bass ranging from 12 to 16 inches (all but 2 harvested), plus 1 crappie (harvested) and 1 very large bluegill. All of the fish appeared very healthy with bright, distinct markings. The catches were scattered about the lake, with the greatest concentration being along a rocky island that has appeared in the north end of the lake due to the low water.
All in all, a great first visit! I’m looking forward to getting out to other lakes soon and possibly meeting other members at a future get together.

Hi Steve,
We are glad you enjoyed your first outing. The rocky island at the north end is probably the old pond dam. There was a smaller pond inside the lake when it was enlarged.
