At 6:45, ducks starting filling the lake.  Unfortunately, this was 15 minutes before legal light.  At 7:01, we started shooting.  We took 6 down quickly, and it slowed considerably after that.  Me and my 2 hunting buddies ended up with 12 between us, mostly gadwalls with a couple of widgeons.  Most of the ducks still head for the concrete structure in the Northeast corner of the lake, coming over the beaver dam in the southeast corner.  The lake is up about a foot, equaling about 10’ of shoreline under water.
